KUALA LUMPUR: Ryan Moore birdied the first play-off hole against Gary Woodland to win the rain-hit CIMB Classic at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club on Monday.
The two Americans, who were tied on 14-under-par after four rounds on Sunday, were forced to wait overnight after tournament organisers ran out of time and daylight because of storm delays.
Both golfers hit perfect tee shots down the fairway. Moore upped the pressure with an approach to about four feet of the flag for a birdie chance that he converted.
Moore earns $1.26 million and a guaranteed place in next year's US Masters. (GNN) (AFP) (Yoogle)
