Karachi: Gunmen kill MWM leader, guard on University Road

KARACHI: Unknown gunmen opened fire on a car at University Road Tuesday afternoon and killed Allama Deedar Jalbani, Deputy General Secretary of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and his bodyguard.

The incident occurred near NED University at University Road where the unidentified assailants opened fire on a car. As a result of firing, Allama Deedar and his guard sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital where they shortly succumbed to their injuries.

The MWM has announced three days of mourning and protest day on Wednesday to condemn the killing of Allama Deedar Jalbani and his guard.

MWM leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari has given an ultimatum to the government saying the assassins should be arrested within 24 hours otherwise MWM would devise future course of action. (GNN)(Geo)
