LONDON: Premier League powerhouses Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur managed to avoid each other in the draw for the League Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday. United were handed a trip to Stoke City, who they beat 3-2 in the league last Saturday, while City must visit second-tier Leicester City, conquerors of top-flight Fulham in round four.
Tottenham's reward for a nail-biting 8-7 penalty shootout success against Hull City earlier on Wednesday was a home game with London rivals West Ham United.
Chelsea must wait until next week to learn the identity of their opponents, however, having been drawn to face the winners of the one remaining fourth-round tie between Sunderland and Southampton.
