Rangers raid in Nazimabad, 11 suspects detained

KARACHI: Rangers detained 11 suspects during a raid in Karachi’s Nazimabad area on Sunday.

According to sources, the suspects belong to a religious political party and the paramilitary force has recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.

The Rangers spokesperson adds that an investigation is underway.

Bomb defused in Karachi's Kemari area

KARACHI: A bomb disposal squad defused a bomb found from the Kemari area of Karachi on Wednesday, Express News reported.

It was planted in the oil tanker terminal and the oil tanker, next to which the bomb was planted, was empty.

Around 10 to 12 kilogrammes of explosive material was used in the bomb.

Police and Rangers personnel reached the site and cordoned off the area.

Rangers’ targeted operation continues in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers in their continued targeted operation in the city last night rounded up eight professional criminals and recovered weapons from them.

Rangers’ spokesperson said that targeted operation were conducted last night in different parts of the city including Landhi, Liaquatabad, Nizimabad, North Nazimabad, Nusrat Bhutto Colony, Lasi Goth, Taimuria, Rufi Banglows, Sunny Heights, Aram Bagh and Malir Khokhrapar.

The weapons recovered from the eight criminals taken into custody included LMG, sniper rifle and pistols, spokesman disclosed.(Geo)(GNN)
