Stars : Casper Van Dien,Lou Ferrigno and Snow White,Rapunzel,Cinderella,Sleeping Beauty and Little Red Riding Hood.Write & Directed by : Jeremy M. Inman Must admit,Have wanted to see this flick since it was announced.

Not disappointed in the least,It has all The Mockbuster goodness,You would expect and more much more in exact dialogue ‘That puts that tongue in that cheek’ and Even a Avengers Hawkeye nod in plot that Rocked ! Casper as an oddly named villain is mucho over-the-top and enjoys every moment of his scenery chewing.Lou Ferrigno may have had that once in a career chance to shine, And he plays with gusto,Not seen in other Superheriocs by major studios.

OK,Don’t think a major spoiler that this looks like a franchise and a welcome one at that.

James Cameron’s deepsea voyage splashes into theaters

#GNN - NEW YORK: Two years after completing the first one-person voyage to the deepest part of the ocean, #Hollywood director James Cameron´s 3D underwater plunge is set to splash into theaters Friday.
"Deepsea Challenge" chronicles Cameron´s submarine descent into the western Pacific´s Mariana Trench, a barren underwater moonscape where "squid worms" and other creatures flit past the window on the record-breaking odyssey.

The "Titanic" and "Avatar" director said Monday at a screening at the American Museum of Natural History in New York that he has been "continuously inspired by the oceans," since a boy.

"I´m a curious monkey and I need to go and see by myself," he told some 1,000 fans, many of them children, who came to see the film at the museum´s LeFrak Theater.

The seven-mile (11-kilometer) voyage to the Challenger Deep valley of the Mariana Trench, which lies southwest of Guam, was the first manned expedition in more than half a century and the culmination of more than seven years of planning.

The March 2012 journey took two hours and 36 minutes, according to the mission organized with National Geographic.

It was carried out in a submarine christened the "Deepsea Challenger," which was equipped with 3D cameras and powerful lights to illuminate the sunless depths.

The Mariana Trench, a crescent-shaped scar in the Earth´s crust, measures more than 1,500 miles (2,550 kilometers) long and 43 miles (69 kilometers) wide on average.

-´Like the moon´ -
It´s "unbelievable, it´s like the moon," Cameron said in the film upon seeing the Challenger Deep´s desolate seascape.

Cramped in the 26-meter (eight-foot) submarine´s cockpit, the Canadian filmmaker filmed and collected biological and geological specimens on the ocean floor, 68 of which have never been seen before.

The specimens were just a tiny array from a few meters of terrain that Cameron said was "the size of North America" stretching across the ocean floor.

The film, which lasts 90 minutes and was made in collaboration with National Geographic, hits mainstream US theaters Friday, having made its rounds at various film festivals.

Cameron is the first person to have made a solo dive to the Pacific Ocean trench, traveling in a submarine he designed and built in Sydney, Australia.

The director, who has gone on a multitude of dives, including 12 while filming "Titanic," said he wants to return to the Mariana Trench, but would like to do it with "new technology" to get more out of the expedition.

"There´s so much to see," he said.

The last dive of any kind to the area was made by a two-man team in a relatively brief expedition in 1960, during which American Don Walsh and Jacques Piccard of Switzerland were unable to see anything due to mud. (GNN)(AFP)(AIP)

Exclusive: YouTube weighs funding efforts to boost premium content - sources

(GNN) - YouTube has embarked on a new round of discussions with Hollywood and independent producers to fund premium content, two sources with knowledge of the talks told Media, a move that could bolster a three-year-old multimillion-dollar effort that has had mixed success so far.

The talks underscore Google Inc's desire to complete YouTube's transition from a repository for grainy home videos to a site sporting the more polished content crucial to securing higher-priced advertising.

Over the past two months, YouTube executives have begun making the rounds, talking to Hollywood producers to explore the kinds of support it could offer its content creators and produce more must-see programming, according to the two people.

Executives did not lay out exactly how a program would be structured. One of the two people said the site may offer between $1 million and $3 million to produce a series of programs, and might contribute marketing funds as well.

The second person said the site was interested in videos shorter than the 30-minute, TV network-quality Web shows that Amazon.com Inc and other online sites have recently funded.

"We are always exploring various content and marketing ideas to support and accelerate our creators," a YouTube representative said in an email. The site declined to comment on the meetings.

The latest round of discussions is in its initial phases and actual measures may never materialize, the sources said.

YouTube is by far the world's most popular location for video streaming, with more than 1 billion unique visitors a month, far surpassing Netflix Inc and Amazon. But it is trying to lure more marketers for premium video advertising, boosting margins as overall prices for Google's advertising declines.

YouTube set aside an estimated $100 million in late 2011 to bankroll some 100 channels, though it never confirmed amounts spent or other details. Beneficiaries of that largesse included Madonna and ESPN, as well as lesser-known creators. Reuters was one of the companies that received funds for a channel.

But few of those have garnered much mainstream attention.

"Over 115 of the channels launched as part of that initiative are now in the top 2 percent most-subscribed to channels on the platform," a company representative said in an email.

YouTube has continued to provide backing for its content creators. It provides production facilities for creators, offers tips on how best to create content, and provides small amounts of funds for creators to test ideas.

The site also provides marketing support for online celebrities, including paying for billboards and TV ads for the likes of beauty blogger Michelle Phan and baker Rosanna Pansino. (Reuters)(AIP)
