ISLAMABAD: The parliamentary leaders of the opposition parties in the National Assembly (NA) sat together here on Tuesday and agreed upon holding of the talks process with the Taliban, however, no agreement could be met on the matter of halting Nato supply lines.
During the meeting, the parliamentary leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Awami Muslim League (AML) and Jamat-e-Islami (JI) stressed upon the need of stopping Nato supply lines to Afghanistan, however, they failed to reach an agreement in bringing a resolution over the issue.
The meeting decided to continue to hold consultations over the situation that emerged following drone strikes. Some leaders told the meeting that the Taliban do not trust the government over the negotiation process.
The parliamentary leaders of the opposition parties also demanded of the government to apprise them over the future plan about the dialogue process.
