KARACHI: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) suspended SSP Investigation East, Junaid Shaikh for remaining absent from the hearing of Karachi law and order implementation case on Friday. A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the Karachi unrest case today at Karachi Registry.
During today’s proceedings, the CJ suspended SSP Investigation East, Junaid Shaikh on failing to appear during today’s hearing.
Junaid Shaikh was due to appear in the court to present the investigation report on Shera Pathan murder case before the bench.
Shera Pathan was the member of Arshad Pappu gang and was murdered with him.
The SC also summoned Karachi Police chief Shahid Hayat on immediate basis. (GNN) (Geo) (Yoogle)
