Five more killed in Karachi firing, violence

KARACHI: Five more people were killed in firing and violence incidents, taking the overnight death toll to ten on Tuesday morning here.

Sources said that five persons were gunned down early morning in a brief span of only 15 minutes in Defence and Korangi areas here.

Despite the ongoing Rangers, police operation against target killers and criminals in which thousands of arrests have been made by the law enforcing authorities, the carnage in Karachi has once again intensified since Monday.

Three persons were shot dead this morning in Defence Phase-1, two gunned down in Korangi, one body was recovered from Nasir Colony in Korangi, three were shot dead late last night.

It may be recalled that the armed marauders had also taken the lives of nine persons yesterday of them six had fallen prey to target killings. (GNN) (Geo) (Yoogle)
