ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah said Tuesday that it was easy to hold talks with the Afghani Taliban but difficult with the Pakistani Taliban. Speaking to the media, Shah said he had given the government mandate to hold talks with the Taliban, adding that the briefing of army officials at the All Parties Conference (APC) was based on truth.

According to Shah, the government had to also establish its writ in Karachi, Balochistan and against sectarianism.

The opposition leader told reporters that priority was given to talks with the Taliban during the APC, but thirteen previous attempts at dialogue had failed.

In reply to a question regarding the appointment of the NAB chairman, Shah replied that the process would be completed by 15-16 September. (Thenews) (GNN)
