ECP orders re-election on 18 polling stations of NA-5, NA-27

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has ordered re-polling on 18 polling stations of NA-5 (Nowshera) and NA-27 (Lakki-Marwat).

Re-polling will be held on nine women’s polling stations each in these two constituencies. During polling, reports were received that women faced difficulties in casting their vote and at some polling stations were barred from doing so.

Chief Justice Peshawar High Court (PHC), Dost Muhammad Khan had directed to halt the results of these constituencies and directed concerned officials to arrest members of the Jirga which had stopped women from casting their vote.
